Overview

You will be essential to Temple's financial management as a Finance Officer. In order to support decision-making, you will be in charge of supervising a range of financial operations, guaranteeing regulatory compliance, and supplying accurate financial information. Strong attention to detail, a solid grasp of financial concepts, and superior analytical abilities are necessary for this position.

Responsibilities

Accounting Reporting:

• Compile and evaluate financial statements, including cash flow, balance, and income statements.
• Assure the integrity, correctness, and conformity of financial data with accounting standards.
• Create financial reports and statements on a weekly, quarterly, and annual basis.

Forecasting and Budgeting:
• Make a budget.
• Keep an eye on budget performance and variance analysis, pinpoint problem areas, and provide solutions.
• To assist with strategic planning and resource allocation decisions, perform financial forecasting.

Receivables and Accounts Payable:

• Oversee the accounts payable procedures, which include processing invoices, confirming costs, and paying on schedule.
• Manage all aspects of accounts receivable, such as reconciliations, invoicing, and collections.
• Keep thorough records of all transactions, and make sure that the terms of payment are followed.
• Keep correct financial records and statements and oversee accounts payable and receivable.

Financial Compliance:
• Verify adherence to pertinent accounting standards, regulatory requirements, and financial rules.
• Keep abreast of modifications to financial rules and make the appropriate adjustments to policies and procedures.
• During financial audits, collaborate with external auditors and supply required paperwork.

Analyzing finances:

• To evaluate the organization's performance and financial health, do a financial analysis.
• Determine areas where you can save expenses, increase revenue, and improve efficiency.
• Provide advice and insights derived from financial analysis to aid in decision-making.
• Help with the financial analysis of our banking activities for investments.

Money Management:

• Keep an eye on your cash flow and liquidity situation to make sure you have enough money to cover your operational expenses.
• Create projections for cash flow and properly manage cash reserves.
• To reduce idle cash and increase investment returns, optimize your cash management procedures.

Internal Controls:
• To protect assets, stop fraud, and guarantee the accuracy of financial records, establish and maintain internal controls.
• To improve internal controls and efficiency, review and update financial rules and processes.
• Evaluate the efficacy of internal controls by conducting audits and assessments on a regular basis.

Requirements

• A bachelor's degree in business administration, accounting, finance, or a similar discipline.
• For this position, a professional certification (ACCA or ICA) is required.
• A minimum of three years' experience working in finance, ideally in the financial services sector.
• It's quite beneficial to finish the Ghana Securities Industry course.
• Solid understanding of rules, accounting standards, and financial concepts.
• A track record of success in operations management, financial analysis, or similar positions.
• Strong analytical abilities and competence with statistical tools, data analysis, and financial modeling.
• Advanced familiarity with data analysis software, including Microsoft Excel.
• Expertise with financial systems and software, including QuickBooks Online.
• Outstanding analytical, decision-making, and problem-solving abilities.
• Remarkable accuracy and attention to detail, as well as the capacity to operate autonomously with little guidance.
• Strong interpersonal and communication abilities, able to simplify difficult financial concepts for a lay audience.
• Capacity to oversee several projects in a hectic setting
• Strong time-management and organizing abilities.
