Responsibilities

• Give courteous and professional greetings to clients, patients, and guests. • Respond to questions, give broad information, and direct patients to the right offices or services. • Help people locate over-the-counter drugs and medical supplies. • Accurately receive and process patient prescription orders while adhering to legal requirements. • As instructed by certified pharmacists or medical professionals, administer drugs and make sure dosage instructions are followed. • Prescription orders should be appropriately documented, guaranteeing data accuracy and confidentiality. • Keep an eye on the supply of over-the-counter items, medical supplies, and prescription drugs. • Take receipt of deliveries, unpack them, and verify that the circumstances for storage are correct. • Help with routine inventory checks and replenishments to guarantee the availability of products. • By attending to patients' problems, responding to their inquiries, and making product recommendations, you may deliver exceptional customer service. • Accurately process transactions with the assigned point-of-sale (POS) system. • Ensure accurate pricing and change when handling cash, credit, and electronic payments. • Cash registers should be reconciled at the start and conclusion of every shift. • Ensure that all patient encounters, prescription transactions, and inventory levels are accurately and current documented. • Provide the required reports, pointing out patterns and making suggestions for enhancements, for managers or supervisors. • Follow health and safety guidelines, taking care to maintain appropriate cleanliness, hygiene, and infection control. • Keep the work area, particularly the pharmacy or medical counter area, tidy and orderly. • To guarantee integrated patient care, work well with pharmacy technicians, pharmacists, and other medical specialists.

Requirements

• MCA certification; further education in medicine or pharmacy is advantageous. • Strong interpersonal and customer service abilities. • Accuracy and meticulousness in the processing of prescriptions and inventory control. • Understanding of over-the-counter, prescription, and medical language. • Knowledge of point-of-sale and pharmacy software. • Good interpersonal skills and capacity to clearly convey drug instructions to patients. • Capacity to multitask effectively and operate in a fast-paced setting. • Basic mathematical abilities for managing money and figuring out dosages.
