Finance Manager

Overview

As a Finance Manager, your role would involve overseeing the financial operations of a company. You would be responsible for managing budgets, analyzing financial data, and providing strategic financial guidance to the organization. You would also monitor cash flow, prepare financial reports, and ensure compliance with financial regulations. Additionally, you would collaborate with other departments to develop financial strategies and make informed business decisions. Your expertise in financial management would contribute to the overall financial health and success of the company.

Responsibilities

o Review the general ledgers and expenses every day to make sure that all transactions are properly recorded in the books. o Create management reports every month and assess how well actual performance compares to planned performance. o Create reports on the financial performance every month. o In charge of publishing payroll journals and handling company tax matters. o Compile and send required reports to BOG and other parties on a monthly and quarterly basis. o Verify adherence to the regulations set forth by regulatory agencies. o Verify that reconciling discrepancies are posted by reviewing the monthly bank reconciliations for each of the company's bank accounts. o In charge of depreciation, fixed asset schedules, and fixed asset management for the company. o In charge of putting together the year-end financial statements for the outside audit.

Requirements

o A minimum of five years of work experience is required, as well as a Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field and membership qualifications in ACCA, ICA, or CIMA. o Understanding of the ERP accounting system is preferred. o Strong familiarity with IFRS. o Excellent report-writing and analytical skills. o Good familiarity with the Bank of Ghana's and other regulatory bodies' requirements. o Proficiency with Microsoft Excel for financial modeling.
