Alumni Relations Coordinator

Overview

We are seeking a motivated and well-organized Coordinator of Alumni Relations to manage our alumni relations initiatives at Blossom Academy. The coordinator of alumni relations will create and nurture connections with former students, plan activities, and carry out projects to improve the alumni experience. A creative and collaborative person with strong communication skills and a strong dedication to building community among our alumni is needed for this role.

Responsibilities

• Create and put into action plans to involve former students and enhance their ties to Blossom Academy. • Retain accurate records of engagement activities and correspondence, as well as a database of alumni relationships. • Organize and plan alumni activities such as workshops for professional growth, networking receptions, and reunions. • Work together with the marketing and communications team to provide interesting material for social media, alumni newsletters, and other communication channels. • Act as the main point of contact for questions and information requests from alumni. • Find ways to help alumni mentor current students, engage in volunteer work, and support Blossom Academy initiatives. • During the fellowship, create a profile for each student that will be retained on file following graduation. • Work together with academic divisions and career services to offer resources and continuing assistance to alumni • Keep track of alumni results and success stories to highlight our graduates' accomplishments. • To continually develop programs and initiatives, stay up to date on industry trends and best practices in alumni relations.

Requirements

• A bachelor's degree in marketing, teaching, communication, or a similar discipline. • Demonstrated expertise in community involvement, alumni relations, or a similar position. • Excellent interpersonal and relationship-building abilities and the capacity to engage with a variety of audiences. • Strong communication skills both in writing and speaking, with background in producing interesting material for a range of media. • Incredibly well-organized, capable of handling several tasks and priorities at once. • Creative thinker with the ability to create original plans of action to include alumni and foster a feeling of community. • Expertise in logistical management and event organizing. • A strong desire to learn and a dedication to helping graduates succeed. • Capacity to operate both individually and jointly in a group setting.
