Overview

The Compliance Officer is responsible for ensuring that an organization adheres to legal, regulatory, and internal policies. They play a key role in identifying risks, developing compliance programs, and fostering a culture of integrity within the company.

Responsibilities

• In charge of guaranteeing complete adherence to rules, guidelines, instructions, circulars, and memoranda • Establish the scope, review, and annual compliance plan for compliance. • Review and conduct routine checks to ensure adherence to the aforementioned documents. • Employees should be made clear and aware of rules, policies, procedures, circulars, and instructions. • Create and provide reports that show the line manager the outcomes of the compliance evaluation. • Make recommendations for risk management and identify any gaps. • Monitor management interventions and recommendations by conducting follow-up audits. • Assistance in the effective performance of the compliance role • Other duties that the line manager may delegate

Requirements

• A bachelor's degree in accounting, economics, finance, risk management, or a related discipline. • Two to three years of experience working as a supervisor at a financial institution in a comparable role, such as operations, internal audit, risk, or compliance. • Strong knowledge of internal control, risk management, and compliance • Capacity to exercise sound judgement on one's own • Strong writing, reporting, and communication abilities • Both analytical and detail-oriented • Able and willing to be creative
