Travel Advisor

Overview

Looking for a dedicated and driven tourism professional to work as a travel advisor.

Responsibilities

• Using phone calls and emails to persuade callers and potential customers to travel with the company. • Creating and pricing unique itineraries for customers in close collaboration with the management partners. • Discussing pre-trip requirements with customers, such as packing lists, immunizations, and visas. • Arranging with flight brokers to obtain precise airline reservations and pricing. • Taking calls on the company's primary phone line for at least eight hours per day, five days a week. • When necessary, helping the managing partners with additional initiatives

Requirements

• Very self-assured, with a friendly and vivacious manner and a clear speaking voice. • The capacity to effectively and clearly communicate across cultural boundaries. • A strong desire for excellence and meticulous attention to detail. • A diploma or higher education credential in tourism or a similar sector (DBS, HND, or degree). • Two years of experience in a relevant profession, such as tourism or hospitality. • Outstanding ability to communicate in English both in writing and speaking. • Good communication abilities in English and at least one additional Ghanaian language, such as Twi or Ewe. • Thorough familiarity with all Ghanaian tourist destinations and other travel-related services. • You may easily commute to Nungua-Spintex from your home in the Greater Accra Region. • High level of computer knowledge.
