The production manager supports the head of supply chain by supervising daily manufacturing activities, managing over 100 employees, and guaranteeing quality, safety, productivity, and employee engagement. This position directly oversees several production and packaging line supervisors and reports to the head of supply chain. It promotes adherence to quality standards and safe, effective manufacturing procedures.
• Follows and upholds standard operating procedures (SOPs) to guarantee uniformity and excellence throughout all manufacturing processes. • Oversees the daily plant floor wholesale activities. • Oversees the installation of both new and current goods in these divisions as well as their training. • To guarantee efficient manufacturing processes, production throughput, volume variations, OEE, cost per tonne, and labour utilisation are tracked. • Guarantees that teams adhere to the production schedule in order to deliver dependable products. • Makes ensuring there is enough people to handle changes in volume and new business requirements. • Supports all set aims and objectives for the facility and manufacturing. informs the director of the team's progress and any challenges. • Keeps costs under control by operating within predetermined budgets, projections, cost targets, and service levels. encourages the execution of projects aimed at improving costs, quality, and services. • Oversees daily process improvement walks, identifying critical areas for safety, productivity, and human capital development and putting plans in place to boost effectiveness and cut expenses. • Work together with cross-functional teams from engineering, supply chain, quality assurance, and talent management to address problems related to people and production and put process enhancements into place. • Ensures adherence to corporate policies and safety requirements by carrying out routine safety inspections and encouraging a safety-conscious culture among staff members. • Propels efforts for continual improvement to increase product quality, save waste, and streamline manufacturing processes. • Forms strategic alliances with Human Capital, Safety, and FSQA to guarantee compliance and a safe, inspiring, and prosperous work environment. • Oversee plans for factory improvement. • Put HR policies and people programs into action to promote employee growth and engagement. • To minimise organisational loss time and uphold strict discipline standards • Create and preserve ideal conditions for the production process, and respond to any deviations. • Assist teams in developing their capabilities by offering them training, mentoring, and clear leadership.
• Engineering bachelor's degree, (or) comparable job experience, and certificates in manufacturing process improvement • It is necessary to have five (5) years of advanced manufacturing management experience. • Five (5) years of successful, practical, and demonstrated team management, team building, and succession planning and development. • Experience creating and carrying out policies and initiatives in a rapidly evolving start-up setting. • Knowledge of other manufacturing applications and the Microsoft Office Suite. • The capacity to express oneself succinctly and clearly in English both in writing and when speaking. • The capacity to lead technical teams in every aspect of manufacturing. • Capacity to comprehend, adhere to, and guide others in defined safety protocols. • Knowledge of the Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP) and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) guidelines.
