Hydraulic Mechanic

Overview

Troubleshooting, fixing, and maintaining hydraulic systems and steering units on both conventional and customised trailers, truck tractors, tipping units, cranes, and forklifts will be the key responsibilities of the hydraulic mechanic.

Responsibilities

• Being able to perform research and come up with solutions requires an understanding of schematic drawings and diagrams.
• Installing and evaluating hydraulic parts, including complicated hydraulic lines, pumps, motors, and cylinders.
• Identifying and fixing issues with truck tractors and hydraulic trailers.
• Preventing system breakdowns and downtime by performing regular maintenance and servicing.
• Working together with other technicians to address complicated problems
• Ensuring adherence to safety rules and guidelines.

Requirements

• Applicants must be highly qualified technicians or fitters with a good mechanical aptitude for this position.
• Additionally, candidates must be highly detail-oriented and have great problem-solving abilities.
• In addition to having at least three (3) years of real-world experience, candidates must hold a Higher National Diploma (HND) in mechanical engineering.
