Overview

This position holds great importance due to its focus on ensuring the financial well-being of the company, maintaining regulatory compliance, and supporting its growth and success through effective financial management and reporting to both internal and external stakeholders. We are seeking a Senior Accountant - Financial Reporting to join our dynamic international accounting team, known for its fast-paced and high-performance environment. As we continue our global expansion, we recognize the critical role of hiring and nurturing talented individuals in driving our achievements.

Responsibilities

- Compile year-end financial statements and accompanying notes for all Group entities, ensuring thorough documentation and record-keeping.

- Collaborate closely with external auditors to facilitate the audit of financial statements within reporting deadlines and without qualifications.

- Engage with external auditors and regulators to plan audits and participate in closing meetings, while also discussing general business developments.

- Maintain precise and current financial records and documentation for statutory purposes, adhering to either IFRS or relevant local GAAP.

- Manage the Group's internal audit tracker and ensure adherence to regulatory, accounting, and tax requirements.

- Aid in the preparation and review of statutory and consolidated financial statements under IFRS and other international accounting standards for all group entities.

- Ensure prompt submission of financial statements for tax filing purposes.

- Conduct analysis and research on technical accounting matters, including IFRS and international accounting standards.

- Document complex and judgmental transactions accurately, providing thorough analysis, relevant literature, and conclusions.

- Gather information from various sources using effective research tools.

- Adapt to changes in the work environment.

- Produce precise work and deliverables to a high technical standard.

- Continuously maintain and enhance templates and standard operating procedures.

- Provide ad-hoc assistance on accounting, tax, and other finance-related projects as they arise, addressing them efficiently and promptly.

- Support all business units across the Group as needed.

Requirements

- Possess a financial educational background such as a Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.

- Have at least 3 years of experience in financial reporting and external audits, collaborating closely with external audit firms.

- Demonstrate prior experience working within Group or Regional level accounting teams.

- Hold membership and designation with CA/ACA/ACCA.
