Overview

In order to guarantee that the project is finished on schedule, within budget, and to the highest possible standards of quality, the construction manager will be in charge of overseeing all on-site construction activities. Strong leadership, clear communication, and in-depth understanding of construction management concepts are necessary for this position.

Responsibilities

• Work with engineers, architects, and other stakeholders to create thorough project plans and timetables. • Organise and oversee all construction-related operations on the job site, making sure that project plans and standards are followed. • Keep an eye on the status of the project and change as needed to adhere to budgetary and schedule restrictions. • Oversee and manage a group of site engineers, construction workers, and subcontractors. • Make sure everyone on the crew follows the construction and safety guidelines. • Call frequent site meetings to discuss problems, evaluate progress, and make sure everyone is communicating effectively. • To guarantee excellent construction standards, put quality control procedures into place and enforce them. • To find and fix any safety or quality concerns, conduct routine site inspections. • Verify adherence to regional construction codes, rules, and safety and health requirements. • Oversee project budgets, which includes keeping tabs on spending, approving bills, and disclosing financial results. • Look for ways to cut costs without sacrificing quality. • Act as the client's main point of contact, answering their questions and giving them regular project updates. • Communicate with suppliers, local government representatives, and other interested parties to ensure a seamless project implementation.

Requirements

• A bachelor's degree in engineering, construction management, or a similar discipline. • Five years or more of construction management experience, with a track record of successfully overseeing residential projects. • Thorough familiarity with Ghanaian construction methods, materials, and laws. • Strong team management and leadership abilities. • Outstanding problem-solving skills and meticulousness. • Knowledgeable about project management tools and technologies. • Outstanding interpersonal and communication abilities.
