In addition to overseeing accounting, budgeting, financial reporting, and regulatory compliance, the Finance Officer will be in charge of managing the business's financial operations. Strong analytical abilities, a solid grasp of financial concepts, and the ability to function well in a fast-paced workplace are prerequisites for this position.
Accounting for Finances: • Help with financial forecasting and budget development and monitoring. • Oversee daily financial activities, such as payroll, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger entries. • Create timely and accurate financial reports, such as cash flow, balance sheet, and income statement. • Make sure all financial rules and laws are followed. Bookkeeping & Accounting: • Make sure that all financial transactions are appropriately documented and that you keep correct financial records. • Verify the correctness and completeness of bank statements and other financial accounts by reconciling them • Make sure that the fixed asset register is kept up to date and that asset purchases, sales, and depreciation are properly accounted for. Internal Controls and Compliance: • To protect the company's financial resources, implement and keep an eye on internal controls. • Contribute to the creation and implementation of financial policies and processes. • Make that all tax laws are followed, especially those pertaining to filing and submitting tax returns. Analyzing finances: • Examine financial information to find patterns, outliers, and potential areas for development. • Offer financial analysis and suggestions to assist management in making decisions. • help in the creation of business cases and financial predictions for new initiatives or investments. Reporting and Auditing: • During the yearly audit process, collaborate with external auditors and supply the required paperwork and assistance. • Compile financial statements in compliance with legal and accounting regulations. • Inform management and stakeholders on a frequent basis about financial developments and reports.
• A bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a similar discipline. • Professional certifications like ICA, ACCA, or its equivalent are highly sought for. • 35 years or more of experience required in a comparable accounting or finance position, ideally in the financial services sector. • Strong understanding of tax laws, financial rules, and accounting concepts. • Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools, especially Excel, and accounting software. • Outstanding ability to analyze and solve problems. • Strong focus on accuracy and details in financial reporting. • The capacity to function both alone and together. • Strong interpersonal and communication abilities.
