Overview

A respectable IT infrastructure firm is looking for a highly qualified, practical, and technically adept Supervisor for the Finance & Accounting department. This position is for a fixed term contract that can be renewed based on performance. The ideal applicant will possess a wealth of financial management expertise, excellent analytical abilities, and a thorough understanding of accounting software, particularly Sage. A proactive, self-driven person with good self-management skills and a solid background in technical accounting, including IFRS and tax law in a project accounting-based setting, is needed for this position. In addition, the candidate needs to be proficient in advanced Microsoft Excel as well as statutory and regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities

• Financial Operations: Manage and keep an eye on the business's finances, which include financial reporting, forecasting, and budgeting. • Accounting Software: Make use of Sage's sophisticated capabilities to support project accounting, inventory valuation, foreign exchange transactions, and payables and receivables in addition to streamlining financial procedures and improving data quality. • Financial Controls: To guarantee adherence to rules and accounting standards, establish and maintain strong financial controls and procedures. • Financial Analysis: Examine financial information to spot patterns, outliers, and chances to reduce expenses and boost productivity. Conduct a monthly examination of the variation between the actual and the budget. • Financial Statements: Take the helm in the development and delivery of board presentations, management reports, and financial statements. • IFRS: Make sure that IFRS are followed, especially in the IT infrastructure sector. • Tax Compliance: Make sure that all legislative, regulatory, and tax laws are followed. • Month-End Close: Manage month-end close processes, making sure that all tasks, including balance sheet reconciliation, are completed on time and accurately. Make sure you turn in the month-end pack no later than four business days following the end of the month. • Project Accounting: Oversee the financial components of the project accounting process, making sure that project expenses and revenues are accurately tracked and reported. • Team Management: Lead and guide a group of financial experts while cultivating a culture of ongoing learning and advancement. • Self-Management: To meet the financial objectives of the organization, keep up a high level of self-control and drive.

Requirements

• Educational Background: ACCA, CA, CIMA, or a similar professional accounting certificate; bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related discipline. • Experience: Four years or more of minimum experience managing finances and accounting as a supervisor, with a focus on technical and analytical abilities. • Software Proficiency: Thorough knowledge of Sage accounting software's sophisticated features and functionalities. • Month-End Close Experience: Significant background in balance sheet reconciliation, month-end close processes, and management report preparation. • Strong background in overseeing the financial components of project accounting. • Strong understanding of IFRS, particularly in relation to the IT infrastructure sector.
