Overview

Boomplay, formerly known as Boom Player, is a streaming and download service for music and videos that was created and is owned by Transsnet Music Limited. The goal of Boomplay is to create the biggest and most dependable digital music ecosystem in Africa for musicians and content producers. As of January 2020, the Boomplay app, which took up the "Best African App" title at the 2017 "Apps Africa Awards," has over 68 million users. Presently, it stands as the most extensive and rapidly expanding music application in Africa, boasting an extensive collection of 20 million songs and movies that keeps expanding daily.

Responsibilities

In charge of digital ad sales, hit and surpass sales targets.

To increase sales and create long-term channel advantages, cultivate and uphold long-term connections with important partners, ad agencies, and advertisers. You should also look into novel channel business models.

Make necessary modifications to digital advertising development strategies by keeping an eye out for and identifying major developments in the digital advertising sector.

Create and implement digital sales strategies to meet organizational goals.

Create leads and follow up with possible clients through phone conversations, emails, and other means of contact.

Present demos and sales pitches to successfully highlight digital goods and services.

Work together with marketing departments to produce interesting content that encourages interaction and conversion from customers.

Determine market trends and rivalry to create proactive sales tactics.

Develop trusting connections with customers by being aware of their requirements and offering customized answers. 

Monitor sales data, evaluate performance indicators, and provide frequent updates on your progress.

Gather market data in accordance with HQ's instructions. 

 

Requirements

A minimum of three years of prior experience in a relevant profession, an ad agency, or business-to-business digital ad sales experience in music streaming platforms. 

A bachelor's degree in business administration, marketing, or a similar discipline (or equivalent experience).

A demonstrated history of accomplishments in digital sales 

Strong familiarity with a variety of digital marketing platforms, including email marketing, social media, SEO, and SEM. 

Outstanding communication abilities and the capacity to clearly explain complicated ideas.

 
English proficiency is needed. 

Recognize the extra benefit of influencer marketing and complete marketing. 

Have a strong passion for sales and love music. 

Higher level networking (director or above level) for the banking, FMCG, and telco sectors.
