A supply chain manager oversees the entire process of producing and delivering products to customers. They are responsible for coordinating logistics, managing inventory, optimizing transportation, and ensuring smooth operations from manufacturing to distribution.
• Manage shea nut procurement within the region • Responsible for market research and intelligence. • Negotiating and purchasing of shea nuts & shea butter at market competitive price • Plan and direct the logistics flows of shea nuts and butter within the region • Responsible for storage of all the Shea nuts & Shea butter storage locations • Coordinate with Quality department to ensure quality product delivery • Coordination and management of all administrative and budget allocations • Ensure compliancy on all regulatory requirement • Direct team activities for efficient process flow of activities • Ensure all task are performed with the highest regard to our safety rules and regulations • Propose and implement new ideas and activities • Set up checks and balances between SAP and Operations • Prepare and share reports on weekly/monthly basis to management Other Responsibilities • Discuss team’s performance objectives and support skills development of immediate team. • Address disciplinary concerns affecting immediate team members in accordance with the company’s disciplinary procedure.
Educational Qualification • Postgraduate degree in Supply Chain Management or related field Previous Experience • At least a proven track record of 5-8 years’ experience in a similar managerial role; Technical Skills • Supply chain management • Understanding of Regulatory and Statutory requirements • Experience in Food industry • Knowledge and experience in transport and logistics management • Competent to use MS Office Personality • High Level of confidentiality and integrity • Ability to work independently and manage multiple work schedule • Excellent Team-player • Ability to lead and manage team members • Ability to prioritize and deliver within appreciable timeframe • Excellent planning and execution skills • Analytical skills • Self-starter and ability to take initiatives • Effective verbal and written communication skills. • Fluency in English and French
